EncroGram uses end-to-end encryption. We cannot see your messages. Reports are handled based on user identity, not message content.
How to Report a User
- Open the chat with the user
- Tap the menu button in the top right corner
- Select Report and confirm
What Happens After a Report
- Immediately: The user is blocked and cannot contact you
- Immediately: All messages with that user are deleted from your device
- Within 24 hours: The EncroGram team reviews the report
- Action taken: Reported user may be permanently banned from the platform
Blocking Without Reporting
You can block any user without submitting a report by swiping left on the contact in your chat list and tapping Delete Contact. This removes them and all messages immediately.
Prohibited Content
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
- Terrorism or violent extremism
- Harassment, bullying, or threats
- Spam or scams
- Any illegal activities
Technical Note on Encryption
EncroGram cannot decrypt or view message content. When you report a user, we receive only the reported user's identity (public key hash), your identity as the reporter, and the timestamp of the report. We do not receive message content. Action is based on the report and the reported user's account identity.
